A Chat About the New Era We are Now Living In

Let us begin.

"In this era of the new awakening, it will be a time of self awareness and self empowerment- taking initiative and responsibility for the journey of one’s own physical life experience. How does a person become self aware and self empowered? Through awareness and understanding and expansion of their consciousness. What is awareness and how does one do that? They go inward - they tune in to what is going on inside them - their thoughts, feelings, experiences, events in their life, their pulls and pushes, the questions, curiosities, what they are drawn to, and what repulses or annoys them. They soak in everything they can and then sort out the pieces to understand how it impacts them, helps them, hurts them, as well as how to overcome challenges, hurdles, problems - ways to make their life experience more meaningful and satisfying. They tune in and focus on what they feel - what brings joy, what brings sorrow. They assess, come to conclusions, make decisions, and embark on actions based on this expansion of their awareness. Their awareness and new understandings create new insights, new awareness, and new knowledge. It is a process. It is a cycle. It is an expansion of the conscious mind.

This expansion of consciousness is the mantra that creates the motion and movement within the Tao. This new phase humanity is now in is filled with this energy of change, movement, and flow. Things that have been hidden are now exposed. Things that have been suppressed and buried are now in full view. Being aware of these changes, new challenges, and new opportunities is part of the wonder for this era. How humanity uses this new era as an opportunity to create and build the framework that will support individual’s growth, development, awareness, and self responsibility or empowerment, along with creating connections of support with others, will be how the new story of humanity will unfold.

Is there a formula for how a person tunes in to understand themselves? It will be different for each person as to what works best for them, but the common denominator is based on desire and focused intention. Some will choose quiet reflection, pondering, or perhaps meditation. Others will gravitate to places of loudness or chaos - almost as a way to occupy their mind to be distracted which may allow their inner soul a way to expand without any fanfare. Others will find movement and engagement of the body, such as running, or swimming, dancing, martial arts, or even contact sports of domination such as wrestling or boxing. It isn’t just the quiet and alone time that stirs a person to become aware - there are a variety of avenues and methods. Understanding the results of these efforts, tends to be more individual with isolation and reflection. Not always, as often it is done in discussion with others, but the internalization of the understanding, and the insight is most often an individual effort."

Who Are You? And How to Become the Person You Should Be?

In this new awakened era we are now in, there is a change of human consciousness being created. Individual’s potential is now expanding and becoming magnified and as a result, people will need to know and understand

who they are,

their potential,

what they can be and do with their thoughts,

and how to improve their lives and experiences.

One of the most important things you can do in this era is to understand who you are. But how does one go about to learn and understand one's true inner self? And then once a person gains this awareness, how do they determine what to do?

Most of us became who and what we were expected to become. Our parents, family community, church, school, etc. all played a role in contributing to who and what we became. Most of us probably fell into a pattern based on these expectations which then allowed us to be part of that tribe.

But in this new era of "the awakening" our true nature - our real selves - are now being allowed to emerge from this box. It is as if the rules along with the locks have been removed and we can now expand our meanderings to explore beyond those former limitations.

What do we do if we want to learn more about who we really are? For the most part, it is will still be an inside job and require effort, but in this new era, it will be easier and faster than ever before.

What is the process? Well, you begin with that desire to explore and discover who you are. You then begin an inner journey to awareness; awareness of thoughts, feelings, desires, and any push and pull experiences. What brings you joy? What brings you angst or makes you feel bad? What are you curious about? What beliefs or teachings don't make sense to you? What feels right and what feels wrong?  This inside journey is one of exploration where you get to uncover hidden gems or secrets unknown or new wonders.

The process of discovery means you have to pay attention and be more aware of what you are thinking and where you thoughts lead you. It also means you need to pay attention to how you are feeling and what triggers ignite a positive or a negative reaction from you. You also need to pay attention to any patterns or trends that emerge from all this focused attention.

In addition you will need to analyze the results of you data gathering and perhaps make some new choices. But to help you in this process are tools like meditation. Meditation provides a method to calm the mind and allow space and objectivity to analyze the data you have gathered. In addition, there are some types of meditation, such as the chakra energy meditation that can help strengthen your energetic self so that it doesn't become overwhelmed and can develop the fortitude to continue moving forward.

In this new era of the awakening, you have the possibility to discover your true nature and true self. You also can create the means to allow your life to be lived more closely aligned to your life purpose.

The Chakras are Part of Your Energetic Body

You are composed of a physical and an energetic body. Your energetic body consists of your soul, your Higher Self, and your Chakras. We typically conceptualize the chakras as circular points of light fixed closely along your spine. Each chakra is conceptualized as a different color of the rainbow spectrum. The first chakra, at the base of the spine is red, and then up the spine each chakra follows the rainbow color scheme of then a yellow orb of light, then green, blue, purple, and then on top of the head - a clear bright white light.

Typically the chakras are visualized as being circular. I usually visualize them as the size of an orange or grapefruit and each one is the same size. The chakras are also transparent (not opaque) and clear - no blemishes. They are also aligned - they are lined up from bottom to top in a straight line. These parameters are the goal in a meditation - you meditate and visualize the chakras and if they are not circular, not clear, not balanced, or not aligned, you in your meditation you make efforts to modify the chakras to display how you want them to be (clear, balanced, aligned).

The reason you want to do the chakra meditation is to clear, balance, and align your chakras so that your inner energetic self becomes aligned with your true nature - your true self. With this clarity, the energies, feelings, beliefs, expectations that don't match your true self are more easily left behind because it doesn't match your real self and real needs. This type of tweaking helps us match our own inner energy with the energies that align with our true nature. The result is that we more automatically starts making choices that are aligned with a life path that is the same energetic frequency of our life purpose.

Here is the Chakra Meditation:
1. Start with loose and free fitting clothes. The chakra points should be free and clear of pressure.

2. Sit in a position that you feel is beneficial.  This can be in a chair or on the floor.  You do not need to be in a lotus style of sitting.  The choice is up to you.  There is no right or wrong way to sit.

3. You can close your eyes or keep your eyes open.  However you find the easiest method to stay focused on the meditation.

4. Take a slow deep breath in and release it slowly.  Take another deep breath in and then release it slowly.  Go through a grounding exercise to connect with the earth. When ready, focus your thoughts to bring the energies of the earth up and to the first chakra located at the base of the spine.

5. Visualize the first chakra. View it as an orb - a circular condensation of subtle spiritual energy about the size of an orange or grapefruit. Visualize it as a clear vibrant transparent red. If you don't see it as a circular, direct your thoughts to make it a round circular shape. If in your mind it is not a transparent red color, use your mind to make this chakra a clear transparent red. If there are blemishes, use your mind to elminate any blemishes or irregularities. Now, activate your first chakra so that you can sense and feel its energy. Notice how it feels and reacts with your entire energetic self. When ready, change your focus and intention to move to the next chakra up the spine.

6. Now focus your mind and thoughts on your 2nd chakra which is right above your first chakra.  Visualize the color orange, the clarity (is it clear, opaque, or a combination of such), the shape, and the energy or energy patterns associated with this chakra. If it is not clear or balanced or aligned, use your thoughts to guide or make your chakra clear, balanced, and aligned to the first chakra. When ready, connect to and feel the chakra become energized and part of your energetic self.  When ready, change your focus and intention to move to the next chakra up the spine.

7. Now focus your mind and thoughts on your 3rd chakra in the solar plexus.  Visualize the shape and make sure it is round. Focus on the color yellow and the chakra's clarity (is it clear and transparent?). Now focus on the balance and alignment to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd chakra. When ready, turn your attention on the sensation of activating and feeling this chakra.  When ready, change your focus and intention to move to the next chakra up the spine.

8.  Now focus your mind and thoughts on your 4th chakra in heart area/mid-chest.  Visualize the shape and make sure it is round. Focus on the color green and the chakra's clarity (is it clear and transparent?). Now focus on the balance and alignment to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and now 4th chakra. When ready, turn your attention on the sensation of activating and feeling this chakra.  When ready, change your focus and intention to move to the next chakra up the spine.

9.  Now focus your mind and thoughts on your 5th chakra in the throat area.  Visualize the shape and make sure it is round. Focus on the color blue and the chakra's clarity (is it clear and transparent?). Now focus on the balance and alignment to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and now 5th chakra. When ready, turn your attention on the sensation of activating and feeling this chakra.  When ready, change your focus and intention to move to the next chakra up the spine.

10. Now focus your mind and thoughts on your 6th chakra in the fore-eye area.  Visualize the shape and make sure it is round. Focus on the color purple and the chakra's clarity (is it clear and transparent?). Now focus on the balance and alignment to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and now 6th chakra. When ready, turn your attention on the sensation of activating and feeling this chakra.  When ready, change your focus and intention to move to the next chakra up the spine.

11. Now focus your mind and thoughts on your 7th chakra on top of your head. Visualize the shape and make sure it is round. Focus on the color white and the chakra's clarity (is it clear and transparent?). Now focus on the balance and alignment to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and now 7th chakra. When ready, turn your attention on the sensation of activating and feeling this chakra.

11. Feel and be aware of the chakra's and their relationship with each other and their separation.

12.When you are ready to end the meditation, release your focus from the 7th chakra, and then each chakra as you go down the spine.

13. Release the energy from the root to the earth.

20. Come out of your meditation.

How long should this take? Time constraints will disturb the meditation.  Do what you feel is right.  At first the time will be short but will grow with practice.

Should your eyes be shut? Your eyes may either be open or closed.  It is your choice; either way is OK.

Should you be alone? If you are meditating with another person do not face each other as you may feel the sharing of energy and joining and it will disturb the subconscious mind. For this meditation, it is best to meditate either alone or not facing another person.

The Invisible Shaking of Hands in Healing Activities

Long ago I had heard of a fellow Medical Qigong Therapist who would ask her client to "meet her at the organ system she was treating" and then together they would work to heal the disease. I found this concept rather intriguing and wondered how this would work and if I could also do this with my own patients. At one of my next Qigong treatments I asked my patient to "meet me at her liver and together we would begin to work on healing this organ".  I sat in silence and waited for her thoughts to come to me within her liver, and after several seconds, I felt a change happen. I then "visually saw and felt" her invisible hands reaching out to my invisible hands within her liver.

I was a bit stunned this worked, but it did.  We were now joined together and could begin to work together to heal her organ.

Since that experience long ago my focus has changed to include humanity-type healing activities around the globe. My recent focus was to use sound and songs to send out the focused desires of love, connection, harmony - those positive attributes we need more of in the world. As part of this process, I have received subtle messages and guidance as to what songs to use in these types of meditations. In one of those messages, the song given to me was "The Only Living Boy in New York" by Paul Simon. I was rather surprised and assumed it was letting me know to target just New York rather than all of humanity. But when I heard the chorus "Here I Am", the whole meditation changed.  I suddenly had a visual of willing souls around the globe opening up and being HERE and ready to join with me to share these positive thoughts, desires, and energies.  (See blogpost).

I knew it was just like the experience I had with my Qigong patient long ago, when I asked her to meet me at her liver and then felt and saw her reaching out with an invisible hand to shake my invisible hand.  This experience with Paul Simon's song was letting me know that those who were ready and wanted to participate in this global humanity healing effort were here and ready to participate. This was like the hand shake hand in that former Qigong medical treatment but now on a world stage. There was a sense of empowerment and change in this moment.

For me, this was also an example of the expansion of awareness and consciousness that is part of this new era. This is the time in humanity's progress where we become more aware and experience new levels of consciousness and empowerment. This was one of those ways the awareness of humanity's expanding consciousness and empowerment as already being in play was made aware to me.
