Using Sound to Create Changes in Thought Energy

I think there are many of us who would like to see how we can use our meditative skills to change and improve the world. Some of us may be aware of the internationally renowned Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto, who let us know how the influence of our thoughts, words and feelings can have on molecules of water. According to Dr. Masaru's theory of water consciousness, water can respond to human emotions, thoughts, words, and even written messages. The water can pick up the vibrations as a result of certain emotions and change its structure accordingly. These can positively impact the earth and our personal health. Experiments were used and one included having Buddhist monks go to a lake each day and direct loving thoughts into the water. The water changed.

I decided to use a similar effort and process by sending out thoughts and intentions into the world, but to couple it with sound. I recalled that many years ago, while lounging on a houseboat at Lake Powell, I was suddenly aware of a nonphysical sound coming from the steep red cliffs. I knew it was not real, but the sound and the song played in my mind. It gave me a sudden pause and I was alerted as well as drawn to the simple melody. I was also aware that in this moment, a space opened up in my mind to allow the wonder of things I did not understand into my life. I now call these types of moments “the space in between”. They are moments that provide a kind of “white space empty platform or new blank canvas” in your mind to emerge. It is there where new awareness, new insights, or moments of different decisions arise. I think these are often the experiences where we take steps more aligned with our life purpose.

I decided I would do daily meditations and couple it with a song and send it out into the world to help provide a similar type of experience I had that created "that space in between" - that space to allow a new awareness to emerge. It was an opportunity to change mental thoughts or a new direction.  If that space in between did not emerge, I could at least just send out positive energies, or love and support so that humanity could hopefully begin to change that energy of hate, fear, and anger to one of love, support, and connection.

As a result of this decision, I have been woken up by “the universe” early each morning to do these meditations. Not only am I awakened, it comes with a song playing in my mind. This lets me know that I am to use this song in my meditation.

I’m usually awakened anytime between the hours of 2-4 AM. I get out of bed, make a cup of tea, turn off the lights, and sit in my meditation position. I then begin my usual meditation process. I then visualize portals, channels, and paths opening in the earth, around the planet, and beyond. I then start to mentally play the song I was prompted to use and then play it in my mind. It is dark and quiet in this room, but my mind is actively engaged with the song that is playing in my mind and being sent out through all those channels. I visualize a kind of white space opening up and presenting itself to anyone who “hears” this meditative song. This space is what will allow a person to pause and new awareness and insight to emerge. The energy of love and support is embedded in the song and in this little window of a moment, a person can change “their energetic structure” to align it more to their life purpose.

Sometimes I will speak and I say “Hey Siri, play “Believe by Adam Lambert” and then that song (which is the one I was prompted to use in this morning's meditation) will play for real and be in my physical reality. I will remain in a meditative stance, in the dark, but now use this physical song to couple with my thoughts and intensions.

Music or sounds can be used to augment meditations and I am using this method in a global healing meditation to participate in changing the energetic space of our human experience. My hope is that this process will help foster more awareness to change the negative swirl of hate and fear on this planet, and to reach above that, to find ways to love, support, and connect.

Here are a couple of the songs that have awakened me this week and I have used in these types of meditations:

Believe by Adam Lambert

I Lived by OneRepublic

All of Me by John Legend

I anticipate these sound meditations are one way to help get humanity out of the muck we are swimming in. It is one way to participate in creating a more vibrant world we would want to be part of. After all, Buddhist Monks made such changes to a lake through their meditations. Dr. Masuru changed water crystals just through words, thoughts, and emotions.

I think this is one way to help change the growth of the negative energies and nullify them, as well change them to a positive. It should be worth the effort.
