Before We Were Born

We are fragments of the Tao. The fragment is what makes up our soul. The Tao had a desire to have more experiences and in order to learn, grow, progress, gain wisdom, knowledge, as well as expand consciousness and awareness, it fragmented into smaller pieces to increase the probability of having lots of new experiences. As a fragment of the Tao, we are part of this process to provide more experiences and thereby be part of the process for the Tao to learn, grow, expand consciousness as well as awareness.

One of the ways for all these invisible soulful fragments to have more experiences was to have a life journey on the physical plane; earth. We begin this journey when our soul takes up residency in a physical body. This journey ends when we die. Between this journey is the pre and post part of the journey - what happens before we are born and then what happens after we die.

John U.K., my Spiritual Guide and Teacher, shared this information about what happens before we are born on earth.

“In your pre-planning experience before you were born, you would have looked for a parent that had planned a life experience with a child. You would then determine if this parent (the race, the economic situation, the physical traits, etc.) would provide you with the best match for the other circumstances you desired in this incarnation.

Another example is the musician Mozart. He desired a life experience in musical ability and therefore chose a life and physical body that would help him to obtain this ability. He determined he would need a stern and controlling father within a certain economic level to provide that higher probability of providing a life in music, so Mozart planned a life that would give him that higher probability.

We see the results of that by the life he lived; he was enveloped in music from a very early age and produced magnificent works. We also see his personal life was often chaotic, challenging, and he died as a pauper. But he did accomplish what he had pre-planned and desired; he had a life experience that was totally enveloped with music.”

You may want to reflect on why you chose the mother you have. Was it because you already had a bond with her from another incarnation? Or did you desire a mother-child relationship that was a close bond, or perhaps one that would be with conflict? Or perhaps you desired physical traits that were in her gene pool or perhaps an economic level that she could provide. Perhaps you determined any mother would do so and so you accepted any available mother and have relatively no close ties at all with your mother.”

Thomas Jefferson planned his life around the desire to help create a new democratic government with a focus on preserving and protecting individual rights and civil liberties. His desire was to create a mechanism for the positive aspects the government can provide, but to be balanced with the needs of individual’s rights and expressions. He sought to maximize the needs of the Tao by creating positive energies through government, but also for fragments to enjoy based on their individual trust and personal desires and freedoms.”

Many will live lives that may seem plain and ordinary and others will live lives that seem to impact greatly, but much of your life was programmed and decided by you before you were even born. Some will desire notoriety more than others, and others will have chosen a subtler approach so they can learn and develop in a more serene and secure manner. There are advantages and drawbacks to each approach. For example, the one who has more flash and notoriety will generally create much Karma – either good or bad. And because of the way or magnitude of the impact made this karma is usually in very large doses. On the other hand, this impact can generally help other souls and therefore the karma is positive and can speed the process of returning to the Tao. So as a rule, those who desire the big splash progress faster but enjoy less. Those who progress more slowly develop deeper understanding and insights but require many multiple lives on the same level to achieve the impact of one life.

You decided to come to earth and have a physical body. You decided what type of experiences you wanted to have on the earth. You identified your priorities, decided on your gender, race, culture, personality traits, etc. You were then provided information on what the probabilities of each of your desires were in regard to upcoming birth possibilities. You could make temporary visits to check things out during that pregnancy. You could even change your mind. If you decided you didn't want that body, it could be made available to another soul.

If there was a miscarriage or abortion, which sometimes happens, then another option would be provided to your spiritual self. You could choose to stick with this mother and wait for another pregnancy possibility, or you could choose other parents. Or you could even decide and wait it out for a couple of centuries and catch life on earth in another century.”

John UK then explained the process this way,

“Before a person is born, the fragment (person) will be held or go to a waiting area on the astral plane (heaven) to get ready for their birth. The spirit can visit their physical body but they do not stay or commit until the birthing process. At the birth, their Higher Self stays on the astral plane in a place called the Higher Self plane, and the person’s spiritual essence enters the physical body or closely after the birth. The Higher Self plane houses all the Higher Selves of everyone who is currently physically alive on the earth.”

Before we chose to be born on the earth, we assessed, identified, and then decided on what our objectives were going to be. We determined what we wanted to accomplish, learn, and what karmic debts we desired to get rid of. We planned some of the decision points we needed to help us make certain decisions to take us down certain roads. Some even created back-up plans should those decision points get ignored or for some reason, not present themselves in the way we planned and hoped. Some of us created interactions with certain people to help motivate us to take certain paths. Some created "pulling forces'' or "persistent desires" to make sure we would eventually get pulled on the path we needed. We choose our gender, race, and talents we thought we needed. Sometimes our talents are associated with our parents, so we may decide our parents based on their gene pool, or their own skills, or we can choose our parents based on other factors, such as “she was a friend of mine in another life, and this time I want her to be my mother in this incarnation”.

Knowing we are part of the Tao and that it fragmented to create as many different types of experiences as possible implies that we are here to have experiences the Tao has never had before. Diversity is what creates opportunity for learning, growth, and change. It benefits the Tao as well as us all.

Knowing we made choices of the type of life we desired can free us from assuming we are a victim and have no choice. We chose the path and we are responsible for the our life journey and the experiences we have. For me, this information is an awareness that can be freeing and comforting.
