Watching the Eclipse

Sunday night was the Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse. I watched it with my 5 yo grandson while his little 2 yo sister was asleep, which meant this event was just for us.

At first, I think he was expecting blood, or maybe some guts to be on display so he was interested, but also hesitant. All that angst and fear quickly melted away when we gazed upward in the sky and viewed that full orange moon with a sense of awe.

This was an event that just the two of us shared in that dark, cold winter night. It became one of those moments that belonged to just us.

This brief encounter of sharing the moon and stars felt like a personal signature on the gift card.
