Smoke Gets in Your Eyes by Caitlin Doughty

When you are old and starting to get a bit crusty, many will start to consider the choices of what to do with our things after we croak; including our body. Cremation is one of those options to review and consider. Few of us really know what to expect, however.

But enter Caitlin Doughty. She is the person who who has become the 'go-to gal' to find out all the nuances regarding cremation and death. She has several books available, a YouTube channel (with over 600K followers), a TED talk, and has been featured on CBS Morning news.  If you want to know about what happens to the body when it dies and what to do with that body, she is the one with the answers.

Her book, "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" is a rather fun romp in how she got into the biz and her experiences in learning how to cremate the dead. She has a rather tongue-in-cheek way of communicating about things we usually don't talk about, but really WANT to know.

Death is usually our very final frontier, so we ought to learn and prepare for the journey. There is no better way that to learn the ins and outs of this pending adventure than with a big dose of humor and charm.
