Green Goddess salad dressing came from the Palace Hotel kitchen in 1915. The recipe of blended anchovy, green onion, parsley, tarragon, vinegar, chives, and mayonnaise was a request by actor George Arliss when he was starring in William Archers play, "Green Goddess".
