Our Quist family would frequently have vacations at Lake Powell and during those road trips we would often listen to audio books, such as the wonderful BBC radio broadcast of the “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” by Douglas Adams. This series became a family favorite and we all fell in love with this science fiction adventure.
Douglas Adams suddenly died in 2001 but his estate chose Eoin Colfer to continue with the series. According to Guardian.co.uk, they described Colfer's work as "traditional fantasy adventure with a touch of James Bond and a lot of Inspector Clouseau".
And Another Thing, by Eonin Colfer, was published on the 30th anniversary of the first Hitchhiker book, and it reunites Arthur Dent, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Marvin the paranoid android, and Ford Prefect in another bizarre adventure.
“The new book begins with an old favorite, two-headed Zaphod Beeblebrox, trying to save Dent and Prefect from oblivion in a London club but all seems doomed until a previously minor character from the Hitchhiker canon, the Infinitely Prolonged Wowbagger, a grumpy immortal alien out to insult everyone in the universe, comes to their aid".
As soon as my remodeling chaos wraps up, I’ll begin reading this new story and get reacquainted with some wacky and interesting former friends from another galaxy.
