Bambino and I were able to play at Mitchell Park playground while mom and dad were at the hospital with the new baby. There is a nifty little car that kids seem to gravitate to
and it triggers one's imagination when sitting in the driver's seat, like making car sounds or swerving around make-believe curves.
There are tons of climbing paraphernalia to keep a kid challenged
and a big sandpile to play in, which includes tunnels to crawl through and pretend bears and elephants to climb on.
A 'beat-the-heat' splash park is near by, but due to the drought, is currently turned off. We had a ton of fun at the playground.
