What is your baby trying to tell you when they cry?

Now that I a new grandmother, I'm learning to listen to what Mr. Bambino is saying. I recalled that years ago, Oprah had a baby listener on her show with a "photographic memory" for sound. Priscilla Dunstan says she was able to decipher different sounds that infants from 0 to 3 months make:
  • Neh means I'm hungry (there will be a sucking reflex)
  • Owh means I'm tired (the mouth will be oval)
  • Eh means upper gas and needs to be burped
  • Eair means lower abdominal pain
  • Heh means I'm uncomfortable
Here is a brief YouTube video highlighting these different baby sounds.

So far, the only thing I'm consistently hearing is special grunt that seems to be saying, "Gramz, I want to go home with you!"
