As a newly arrived senior citizen to old age, I have earned the privilege to post and say whatever I want before I croak. I may have wisdom here, or not. Much is based on my mood, which to be honest, is based on last nights dinner.

Doesn't this sculpture move you?
For me, it a wonderful display of how difficult it is to escape that feeling of being imprisoned or trapped. You can almost feel the suffocation, but then the conflict from the struggle, pain, and uncertainty when a person begins to find a way out. You then observe uncertainty and perhaps even new and different struggles. But finally, there is full freedom, and you join in that jubilation.
Art can be such a powerful and emotional mode of communication.
The artist is Zenos Frudakis.
The piece is located at the GlaxoSmithKline headquarters in Philadelphia.
