Blue bird of love and happiness

Birds have different symbolic meanings. Eagles are a symbol of strength, freedom, and independence. Owls are seen as being a symbol for wisdom. Swans are a symbol of grace. White doves are symbolic of peace and bluebirds are seen as the symbol of happiness and love.

Bluebirds hang around my house all the time. At first I would smile with recognition thinking "Oh, isn't that nice. Someone loves me and is thinking of me!" I then started to reward the bluebirds with a nut and thank them for stopping by with their lovely message. The only problem now is they are here each morning and seem to now carry the message, "Hey, girl, where's our nut?"

Funny how love can change.

It doesn't take long for love to turn to expectations...

You are absolutely correct!!!

It is no wonder we learn how to embrace mood changes...we NEED to keep others off guard so they never know what to expect. In a way it can be a mechanism of protection from being used! :-)

On a side note, if you set up a bird bath and keep it filled with clean water they may stop bugging you for nuts. Especially in this heat.
