The 5th of May, also known as Cinco de Mayo, and in some circles is most known as being margarita day.
Even though Cinco de Mayo originally began in 1862 as a celebration after the Mexican army defeated the French, and the margarita was invented in 1934, we who are now living in 2010 use this day as good reason to party on, dudes.
Many of us gals will probably pull out one of our flashy skirts with yards and yards of fabric that are stuffed in the back of our closet and wear them to work today. Or maybe not.
But we definitely will be someplace with music and margs at 5:05. After all, we are all about honoring any event that pops up on the calendar and has a hint of festivity and frolicking.
