Snow Patrol in Oakland

Snow Patrol gave a concert last night in Oakland. The concert was sold out and the energy was high in that lovely remodeled Fox Theatre. Gary Lightbody, the lead singer, began by sharing how this was the most beautiful venue they had been in during their entire tour. It is undoubtedly one of the best places to experience a concert now in the Bay Area.

When you hear music live, a person can have a more intense experience with the music than through a recorded version. This is because when something is being created, the energy is different and a person listening to the music picks up on that creative energy experience. This can affect the whole being and leaves a signature of the intense experience within the person listening to that live music. It can be a remarkable moment.

During the Snow Patrol concert I felt that intensity during the song “Make This Go On Forever” and “Run”. The softness and the building of the crescendos in these pieces were even more moving and memorable during the concert. It is just something you need to experience.
